Managed to discover a few more treasures. I was wondering lately where this little book might be and behold! It was trashed and stuffed behind the books! And! My mum's little journal, where friends and schoolmates left short messages and drew pictures to remember. It was always a thing here.

On the front cover is a Charles' Bridge in Prague from 1969 I think. The title is situated to the lower part of the cover, white font on black background and it says Monuments of Old Prague in several languages.

And it's amazing to see Prague without the dirty smelly layer of plastic crap, zillion of cars, billions of tourists, and questionable "stores". It changed significantly. I always loved this book and the majority of the photos are printed black and white. I even remember how I have been told something like it's not a book for kids, but I wanted it anyway. Geez, let kids explore.

The other book is a slightly bigger format, on brown cover is black and white photo of a few birch trees by the rocks and behind them are rooftops of an old farm house in the middle of a fields or meadow, with woods in the distance. I can say it reminds me of the Ore Mountains, Erzgebirge, Zinnwald or a similar area. In this book people wrote short mottos, wishes, memories, and drew pictures for the owner of this book to remember. Mostly classmates, teachers, friends, siblings. It was always quite popular. And I didn't know we had it. And I was also wondering about my mum's personal items from her childhood. Why there is so little.

Jungle Planter and Swamp Bucket survived this summer up to frosty weather. I merged the few strong ones in this hybrid. Planted moss in that drift wood started looking healthy in colder weather, borbs wanted it for bedding. 🌱 Probably won't survive, would be better in paludarium.

I am just having fun while consolidating two big and heavy experiments into a mini hybrid one. If anything I can always set those plants free, as I took them from outside anyway. So I chose the brown cylindrical planter made of recycled plastic, wood and whatnot.

And for the body of water I dusted the deep ocean coloured planter cover made of actual plastic litter from an ocean cleaning effort. That placed in the middle just creates a deep pool. I don't plan to hide edges nor fill it up fully. One of two driftwoods together with small plants that lived previously in the swamp bucket and several pebbles ended up in the inner vessel.

False bottom, potting soil, plants that survived and I picked from the jungle, plus the broken terracotta pagoda with a mossy driftwood, rocks and pebbles ended up in the outer ring around the water.

The pagoda leans towards the big piece of driftwood a little. Followed with rocky stairs with foliage, river shells and shiny treasures (blue and yellow beads, pebbles with colourful layers and such).

The pool driftwood also reaches out towards the little building and between the wood and the pool wall are more plants. The ground circle also hosts succulents, one strawberry plant and two kinds of ferns. I might still take the big one out because it can take over the whole planter with growth, a crazy root system and crawl out and eat your pets. Not really. But I once decided to uncover a tiny bit of our walkway and it was a battle with those Triffids.

Dismantled pet swamp bucket and again complicating my neurodivergent life with rocks. (there are more in the said bucket and more I want to take from bug island, where I tossed the last collections because I was tired to finish the job of cleaning them). Most are fields finds.

A selection of big smooth rocks under artificial light as it is a dark evening again. They are spread on a big planter false bottom. Some rocks are very round and almost white, some sport red interlayers, some are black with a light vein. On the right are the light ones and the red ones, on the left are darker and black ones. On a big flat black rock with a white vein sits little hazelnut.

It doesn't translate well via a photo, but this oval rock has red and white layers and two additional thin veins going a different direction.

Birb Balcony feeders got upgrades in the shape of a big branch, pebbles, and an artificial plant from before. Even doves returned and they were always quite slow with new things. I knew I would add more perches and hiding spots. Will probably move rotunda further away for focus. ❤️🪶 #pigeonSky

One is coffee and the other is swamp juice. Don't switch these. Editing the jungle after some of the rainwater evaporated.

Yeah, sorry for that steam vent, can't help it. Here, while I was outside checking things in the garden, I revisited the resident spood and when I returned I met another one. That individual was lucky, because he chose to stroll around in the middle of the kitchen floor. #Spider #BugSky

A windowsill feeder from the business that focuses on making gardening accessible to disabled people by making another level of raised beds on wheels, so it can be moved around or attended by a person in a wheelchair. This feeder has legs, so you can see it from your bed for example. www.marli.cz

I am about to build this wooden bird feeder. A dismantled bird feeder in a box with a building manual on paper.

It's done. I readjusted some screws so the roof is aligned better. The seed base under it will be painted with sheer varnish. There are two perches by the seed bed. The feeder stands on a round white kitchen table among pillars of dishes and mugs (clean). I cannot bother. Most of the time I work on the floor anyway.

Today's appointment was very time consuming. I wasn't sure if I would ever wander anywhere. In the end I did visit obvious places. Prague by night. A few stops by the Museum, streets and walkways from around the Týn Church, The Estates Theatre, The Old Town Square..

Night lights on the National Museum building facade, from across the street and construction site. The picture is taken on an angle slightly from below and from the left corner. With those lights on it gives a majestic feeling.

Passages below narrow buildings from around the Týn Church, cobblestone roads are also very narrow, lined with cast iron pillars for drivers. Yes even in the most zigzagging historical corners there are people in cars.

I will move suet balls later and maybe try with apples again. Doves and black birds look interested, though black birds land on window sills or balcony only occasionally. And now: #pigeonSky 🪶

A great tit perches in the window of the brown rotunda house feeder, being vigilant and quick. I set up the camera on the floor and they started attending before I had the chance to leave the space.

I installed the bird boxes on the balcony before I left for an appointment. I used the plank I secured to the wall before. Placed some hemp bedding inside. I will see what happens next. One brown box is closed, the other one on the right is open to show the simple interior with a perch.

An update. I brought home new hardware and installed it on the birdy mailbox houses. It helped a lot with sturdiness and it's not easy to open the doors. Repainted a little, added metal holders. And it is night again. Meanwhile I managed to go through most of the tools and decluttered a bag of trash

Roosting boxes for birds are somewhat finished. The almost square shape reminds of a mailbox. I switched hinges. Both units have two longer hinges each. For securing the front door every unit also has its own swivel in a cut out nook. It is very sturdy. Even I have trouble opening it. Photographed from the floor level from a side angle. Closer look on the hinges, which I smudged with brown paint to reduce the shine. The left unit with the golden number one in the bottom left corner is closed, the second unit is wide open with a perch inside and a little bird figurine. I had to use a flashlight as this overhead light is very muted.

Performed a plastic surgery on his deformed beak and painted it golden. Birdie figurine. I was getting the potting soil... they have several cute birbs there, including a huge terracotta sparrow like borb. Oh, dear, the temptation to collect more stuff!

Micromanagement and microdecluttering as I was simply preparing the bird condo for great outdoors and hoped for a package delivery, which didn't happen, so I'll just stick with the floor troll stance and continue in this meaningful task.

Several plastic boxes with compartments for screws and other little things, wooden bits with said material piled up and scattered around me. I just went through two tiny organizers from IKEA, orange and blue-gray one and tossed damaged pieces. There is a shallow basket of the same blue-gray colour with heavy duty pieces of metal squares and L brackets for connecting and supporting wooden structures, simple small door latches I use for windows in stormy weather. On the left there is a compost bin in the shape of an urn, I cannot help it and unsee the similarity, it's of a green-gray lichen colour.

I glued a distancing rectangle at the back of the bird condo, made me a coffee, before I continued with sorting my pocket workshop out.

I will switch hardware tomorrow. It's another reincarnation of the old vanity. Luckily I kept those drawers, because I can't cut anything straight with a handsaw. Roosting boxes. The plan is to install them probably on the balcony below the ceiling. They are heavy so it's a bad idea ofc.

Forming a project on the floor from the small drawers and wood pieces from the old vanity table I used before as a feeding station.

After a whole afternoon till the evening I was building this double roosting box with doors. Of course it's all sorts of crooked and cracked, but this is my design. There is a perch in both rooms. The entry hole is below the ceiling, double walled, plus there is a little piece of wood above the entry. Though I don't know if any bird will be brave or even comfortable to try this out. The doors are open, I scratched the walls below the entry on the inner side for visitors to have some grip. A number two is visible on the second unit closer to the camera. It's on the front panel that opens, in the bottom left corner.

Both units closed they look alike thanks to the fact they are both made of the same size drawers. It's only wood, painted brown. It only got spoiled in storage as the owners didn't pick it up, so instead of tossing it I used it in a few birdy projects. I will have to buy hinges and handles for these, right now every unit has only one golden ornate hinge and a makeshift handle that holds the door.

From one cupboard. I will have to consult these with other members. Personally I don't want it, because I would destroy the glassware in no time. Took it out since those cupboards are full of dust and debris from repairs, caulking and such.
