Oh god. Like, I get it. Things are getting harder, London’s super expensive and it’s not easy to start saving. But still… oh god!

At 33 they’re still a good option for you!

That’s proper good that is! Going to check them out.

You’d have needed an average interest rate of c. 12% to get from £4k to £2m. I’d love to know what savings accounts would offer that!

And if there were no states where were Mary and Joseph travelling to and why?

A lot were very similar apart from moving one key to the next. I wonder if the commands were actually protected IP?

Still remember a few of the keyboard shortcuts. Also remember having to relearn them all when I moved to InDesign!

I know it’s not universal, but in the public sector you’re more likely to get incremental increases up a pay scale annually as well as the whole scale shifting (albeit not entirely with inflation).
November 27, 2025 at 8:20 AM
lol! Outside the public sector it’s not that common. Often they’re merit based, not cost of living based.

There’s a Burberry cap joke in there somewhere which I can’t be arsed to figure out. Still want to say I noticed it first in case someone else comes up with an actual joke about it later.

It isn’t. His behaviour was bad. But it wasn’t shown to be harassment.
November 26, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Their own behaviour was appalling though. If we’re broadening the definition of harassment from the strict legal one then their own behaviour towards others could also be classed as such.

Worth reading the full judgement. Neither come out well, though the complainant is described as not being credible. The comedian shows some contrition/remorse whereas the complainant doesn’t reflect on their appalling behaviour at all.

Though I guess I can still get the income tax relief even if not through SS. Impact is smaller if it’s only NI that’s impacted.
November 26, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Unless this only affects the NI element and not the income tax one? Far less bad if only NI. Guess I should wait and see.

If WASPI women get paid out I will be extremely pissed off
November 26, 2025 at 7:44 AM
I’ve put every pay rise for years into my pension contributions. Combined EE and ER contributions are over 40%. If the policy (you repost was deleted) is to remove SS consideration for both NI and income tax this is going to impact me by over £20k a year.
November 26, 2025 at 7:43 AM
I’m paying c. 43% (employer and employee contributions) through SS. If SS is effectively scrapped then I’m over £20k a year worse off.
