GovHK is clearly nervous about the public organising effectively and quickly to get things done outside of govt channels. The fact that everyone's angry and demanding answers about the govt's ability/willingness to crack down on corruption is probably making them even more nervous. 3/5

I mean, if you're looking at the impressive and heartwarming grassroots initiatives to help fire victims and your first thought is, "But what if they're secretly organising a colour revolution?!" then you're showing where your priorities lie – and it's not with the ppl who need help. 2/5

I thoroughly reject that generative AI is something we are going to have to accept, it's simply not going to be true even in the wildest dreams of AI evangelists, and we have plenty of examples of games where AI generated elements were removed, so we know for a fact it can be done successfully.

They're certainly not happy about it. I've had banks in multiple countries refuse to let me open an account because of all the extra hassle that comes with my US passport.

And to you as well. I hope your Friendsgiving feast was a good time. The local Texas barbecue joint came through for me, as they do every year (despite stiffing me on the jalapeno cornbread). Just a few more rounds of teaching the family Hong Kong geography and all should be well.

Can hardly blame the KFA for trying that route. It's pretty clear the AFC won't even look South Korea's way when it's on its own, despite its merits. And while I agree it's unneccessary, I'd be surprised if both Japan and Korea's hosting abilities had regressed to Asean 2007 levels since 2002.
