Just so we are all clear: SUSPENDING HABEUS CORPUS WILL APPLY TO EVERYONE. You. Me. Your grandmother. Everyone. Everyone cheering this proposal is so mistaken. WE ARE ACTIVELY LOSING OUR RIGHTS.
Stephen Miller says they are “actively looking at” suspending the writ of habeas corpus, which is only allowed when the US has been invaded or during an insurrection, which would not allow people to challenge their incarceration in court if they are arrested and detained.

This is the way. These social spaces are nothing without the people being there to make them run. This is the power we have to collectively wield.

I know things happen in waves, but between the election and finding that my soul dog is near the end of life, I can confidently say that humans were not meant to be this upset all of the time. Maybe I could handle one or the other alone, maybe not. But to have both at once? It’s breaking me.
