We Gotta Go is a game unafraid to lean into potty humor- the wackos from Fuzzy Bot, including my friend Sam Kushell are making something ridiculous and silly here. Fun facial animations and a clean cell-shaded art style are the icing on the cake!

Good Boy from @terribleposture.bsky.social is six players, has an instantly iconic and terrifying enemy, and funny looking characters- I don't think there's a better combo. The game is out for $7 in Early Access!

Flock Around is a super cute co-op birdwatching game coming from Secret Plan Games, a new team my friend @blumstengel.bsky.social is a part of!

I don't know any other birdwatching games, so this is going to be super fresh!

This is very much a me in my bubble thing... but I know nothing about Deltarune and I dont think I know anyone who played it or talked about it. Even thought I love Undertale- the episodic structure has turned me away from it until the full game is out and I think that's true for others too

Even trying to think of games that are still actively discussed from the last few years is quite hard- Balatro, Baldur's Gate III, Vampire Survivors, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Hades, Valorant and Last of Us II are some of the few truly "long standing" games this decade so far.

I think its also just a side effect of how games are discussed in general now- very very very little actually sticks around in conversation- maybe a handful of games a year. The only TRULY sticky (conversationally) games of this year I think are Clair Obscur and Peak.
