Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to a conference in San Diego and during my free time I took a walk to Balboa Park to see the Japanese Friendship Garden.
Was a fabulous place to go and spend a couple of hours, and highly recommend going if you have the chance.

I wish all photo modes were as well executed as Pacific Drive's was. Too many games have the camera on a really tight leash which really limits the kinds of shots you can do, and I hate it.
Meanwhile PD's camera feels more like a camera drone flying around you, and I love it!

I am still enjoying this game greatly (and recommended it to a few others as well). I love the style of storytelling, especially the "Seven Heroes Memories". It's fascinating and I'm always excited to find another one.

Not content with only this victory, Peter ventured forth with his comrades and saved the Savanah village of Ostro from an invasion of sentient "termites".

So it's been a few days since my last update.
We sadly lost Emperor Magellan to a failed assault on the landscape, but our new leader Peter headed south to help the folk of Saigo Village and stumbled across another of the 7 "Heroes", Dantarg, and handily defeated him.

So it's been a few days since my last update.
We sadly lost Emperor Magellan to a failed assault on the landscape, but our new leader Peter headed south to help the folk of Saigo Village and stumbled across another of the 7 "Heroes", Dantarg, and handily defeated him.

I think I've started to get the hang of the overall mechanics for the game.
We've been through a couple more rulers, first was Empress Onyx who brought Cumberland into the Empire.
Second has been Emperor Magellan, a corsair focused on strengthening economic ties via Cumberland's Comroon Strait

Ah well, we cleared the boss (again) from the sewers (icky mind flayer looking thing).

I'd kinda like to know if I'm gonna lose access to a quest I had started but not had a chance to finish so I can... ya know, get it done.

Can we also talk about the way upgrades happen, because the empire infrastructure concept is inherently brilliant to me.
It leans into the theme of making your nation strong by tying stuff like better gear to developing facilities. It's literally the idea of "it takes an village", and it's AWESOME!
