That total institutional capture is one of the reasons students in NYC and LA were holding services at the encampments, there were no antizionist local synagogues for them to go to

It’s very grim. There’s one openly antizionist shul in America, Tzedek in Chicago. I hear a lot about progressive synagogues who are “accepting” of antizionist congregations, but the rabbis are either liberal Zionists or won’t speak out

They’ve reached a consensus that anyone who doesn’t find the genocide documentation to be vaguely morally distasteful is suspect, maybe even a school shooter or (antisemitic!) neonazi. It’s a really insidious way to manufacture support for Israel and the IDF, terrifying to watch it take hold here

think it’s much worse than that. I’ve seen several people implying or outright saying that anyone who doesn’t turn away from this content (ie anyone following Gaza journalists) is salaciously consuming gore on the same level of 8chan posters like the Christchurch shooter

The creation of a social norm around ~virtuously suppressing evidence of a genocide and accusing the people who refuse to do so of being pornography addicts is one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen in the past two years, like shockingly evil behavior being mobilized
