True, but if you sold $100B in ETH to buy $100B in gold, ETH would be cut in half(maybe more). Tether would be down over 66%. Anything smaller than BTC/ETH/USDT would get wiped out if you sold $100B worth. In other words, you’d notice if they were liquidating a crypto position to buy Gold.

Not likely. Bitcoin market cap is approx $2T (vs Gold $22T according to the post) so selling BTC to buy Gold would produce roughly a 10x move in BTC. Here’s their charts for the day.

Great write-up. More accurate than CNBC during the Obama years. (They’d usually write something like “What’s the REAL unemployment rate” and then say something like "sure the economy looks good because U-3, but the REAL rate is U-6" to fear monger
