It's fascinating seeing what dependencies Flutter apps use via Flutter Shark app. Superlist for example uses native_dio_client and http_image_provider which are packages that I wrote. They also use dio and sentry_flutter, which contain a lot of code that I wrote.

I just found another somewhat popular Flutter app in Germany: The Finanzfluss app. It's a tool to analyze your networth, with a focus on stocks. It seems actually rather cool www.finanzfluss.de/copilot/

It's kinda funny how uCrop has this very memorable design, so that you can immediately tell that the BlueSky Android app uses uCrop for editing images.

I'm currently on my way to Droidcon Italy in Milan. So far
- my train to the airport was delayed
- the stop at the airport was cancelled
- despite that I arrived in time at the airport, however

I'm hearing from job seekers that it's hard to get a job and I'm hearing from hiring managers that it's hard to find the right talent. Not sure what the takeaway here is

All these discussions about the Flutter architecture guides are kinda amusing to me. It just shows that architecture is way more subjective than we'd like to admit. A good architecture is also adapted to the needs of the app, so such guides are just a starting point.
If you like the idea of getting rid of MVVM in #flutter #flutterdev , I just opened a PR for improving the Flutter's Guide to app architecture.

All these discussions about the Flutter architecture guides are kinda amusing to me. It just shows that architecture is way more subjective than we'd like to admit. A good architecture is also adapted to the needs of the app, so such guides are just a starting point.
Today I got approached by a young guy at the train station in my small hometown, because he recognized the Flutter logo on my backpack. He wanted to ask me some questions about a software development apprenticeship. Unfortunately, I had to go but not without giving him my contact details.

I've promoted my passkit packages to version 1.0.0. It's now rather complete, functional, stable and I do not expect big API changes.

Pure Dart library which can create and read Apple's PkPass files (which are usually shown in Apple Wallet). Works on servers and in apps.
