⏯️This slow-motion video shows the inside of the JET tokamak during a shattered pellet injection (SPI) experiment. SPI is a technique to minimise the impact of disruptions – events where the hot fusion plasma in a tokamak can very rapidly lose its heat and electromagnetic energy.

MAST-U (Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak-Upgrade) team have been working hard on the fourth scientific campaign, reaching an impressive 1300 plasmas.

🌍This campaign is made up of over 50 experiments with over 100 scientists from 37 institutions worldwide!
