I mean I would definitely hope most 21st Century mental illnesses would be easily treated in the future. But some trauma needs to be worked through even when there is advanced medical technology. I’m sure there are medical treatments to assist counselling though.

Maybe in the 24th Century they end up with that but watching new Trek, they clearly still rely on counselling in the 23rd Century.
