while I don't disagree about the incitement of violence - stochastic terrorism - it is not lost on me that we didn't see this kind of urgency from our elected officials, as violence against immigrants and trans people has been incited for many months.

Couldn't agree more. This nation's laws were established when POC, women, children and anyone who wasn't a Christian white cis man weren't considered "persons". The laws were and are written for and enforced for the sake of those white men. We really need to remove whiteness and try anew.
They wrote all these raggedy laws, constitution, amendments while Black people were slaves, and 3/5 of a person this was never meant for us and white ppl are okay with that because they still don't see anyone not white as American or worth protecting

I would like to see a law that says that any private firm which seeks public funding become a public utility. No profits. Just taxpayer dollars paying for a product or service to be provided to the people.
