The cop is standing there telling you that you are being scammed and you are convinced you know better? I don’t think there is a cure for that. No training will fix that.

A friend of mine is a master baker and she brings me a huge tray of Christmas cookies every year. They are absolutely the best cookies I have tasted in my life and there are always Russian tea cakes in the mix. Another 5 pounds of weight gain coming in about 2 weeks. Can’t wait.

Gift cards, again. What does it take to get the word out that any transaction involving gift cards is a scam? Every popup, lockup, text message and email saying something is wrong is a scam. No legitimate business operates like that. Call your bank first, always! My goodness people, stop it.

My last job, my employer wanted me to fly coach to Japan for 3 days of meetings. Not in a million years was my response. I told them to send me for 2 weeks, first class and all expenses paid and I’ll consider it. That, of course, was never going to happen.

We ate, drank, watched movies, napped, did laps and started all over again and there were still 7 hours to go. Horrible.

When I worked for GE in the 80s I used to travel to Japan and it was miserable, even flying business class. 14 hours nonstop from Chicago to Tokyo. I was screwed up for 3 days when I got there and three days when I got home. Now, out of the question.
