That almost happened to me with the touch id flex cable 😭 That would’ve been a tragedy since you know those are NOT swappable

the battery connector is actually a pogo pin/spring contact sorta deal, which sounds like it’d be even better than a normal connector, EXCEPT the battery is GLUED into position making it physically impossible to disconnect!!

ifixit’s recommendation is to shove a playing card in between the contacts

the old digitizer just straight up shattered on me during removal bc i failed to apply enough heat and the glue apple used to hold it together is stronger than the glass. i’m in awe
