I don’t know if this story is apocryphal or not. I live in Mexico for dozens of years and everyone I know dislikes the new 50 peso note because its blue color resembles a 500 peso note, even though a 50 note is smaller, one needs to look twice, so if
hoarding keeps them out of circulation, good.
