now i just have to consolidate a couple different audio recordings together. i decided that i didn't have enough time to work on a 15m visualizer, so i wanted to make my set more interesting through other means.

after that, i can edit the video

turns out it's hard to record like this when it's 6am, 27°F/-3°C on my patio, balancing the phone on an egg crate in the dark, and wondering if i'll be able to use the trackpad if my fingers get any colder

but still, i got it recorded. the first take was fine, i am not doing a second take lmao

wow this could actually work.

i mean, i'll be honest, i haven't even started on the video component (i will be filming tomorrow) but i'm honestly very happy with the audio part and i think it'll just come down to how i coordinate everything.

so, fingers crossed? i guess i'll know tomorrow lol

i also roughly worked out the structure of the set, so as far as the audio component is concerned, all i have to do now is to get all of my unfinished songs up to some sort of listenable standard and smooth out the transitions a bit.

no clue how long that will take.

i had some ideas about part of the audio of the set coming through my laptop speakers since it'd be cool and i'd get
- free environmental sfx (awesome)
- justification for why the video component is just my laptop with a visualizer on it. maybe more. we'll see

due to various circumstances, the creation process will have to be a bit rushed but after working on it for a few days i'm confident i'll make it before the deadline.
