Now reading this self-published book by a deaf author, her writing has some hints of ASL-thinking (instead of English) like

I devoured this book- I'm still thinking about two things

-being pro-choice and disabled while accepting others' choice to abort if fetus found to be disabled (ie Downs syndrome)

-how disabled rights often include or mention deaf, but some deaf don't want to be called disabled

Found while walking home: T-Bone is a HO

Love is orange and missing an ear tip
Bukowski, my OG orange cat love. He is old and fat with a tipped ear. If I had to describe his coloring with a flavor, it'd be "peaches and cream" due to the fur being light orange with white accents The young Slimey Worm peeking over his nest with big wide eyes (full of kitten-like curiosity) If I had to describe his coloring with a flavor, it'd be "pumpkin bread" because he is incredibly orange with darker orange accents and zero white accents

Two very different signs for HALLOWEEN from two very old sign language books...

Stopping to read every bit of graffiti and scraps of paper is like the deaf version of eavesdropping
