OH I didn't know confessions got a movie adaptation 😭! I don't know how they handled it in the movie but reading the book was interesting to me because you're shown multiple POVs through different kinds of medium (diary entries, letter, etc)

I don't know if you've read some of these but I recommend malice by keigo higashino, the zodiac killer (the classic lol 😭) by soji shimada, confessions by minato kanae, and right now I'm trying to finish the final six by akinari asakura! The devotion of suspect X by keigo higashino is also good!

He likes scrolling through the pages whenever he misses Mikotoba since Mikotoba posted a lot of places they used to visit often 🥺❤️

Holmes pressured him to create a myspace account too during their cohabitation and convinced him he could use it like a diary 🥺 He's not very good at customizing his page but he's pretty active posting new entries there

He probably still stays fit because all the calories he gets from those cakes and caramels get immediately converted into energy 😭 Tho he may lose a bit of muscle definition since he works out less 🤭 (Thank you Elaine 🥺❤️)

Mikotoba might be a little insecure at first about his weight gain but Holmes is like "I'm glad you're still bigger than me because I need someone to sweep me off my feet and carry me to bed" 🤭

Kinda envy them because they get to look at and explore each other's beautiful body 😔

Holmes is happy to see his physical change because it means he's been eating well ☺️ (I imagine Mikotoba didn't eat much when he was in london because of depression + not liking the taste of british cuisine 😭)

I like the idea of Holmes being lanky when they first met, he grows muscles throughout the years thanks to Mikotoba's constant nagging about a healthier lifestyle and him participating in boxing matches. Mikotoba however works out less bc he needs to take care of 2 children upon his return to japan
