I am of the mind that “If I kill them, I’m no better than them” is a trope I heavily dislike. But the latter is something I feel in my bones and that strikes harder than the former.

With how often you post these new cancer breakthroughs, I feel like we're discovering something groundbreaking about cancer every day. It's amazing how we got this far from not understanding what it is to rudimentary treatments to new and improved treatments.

Oh for sure! It’s fascinating what we can do to make fighting off pathogens easier. We got training our cells via vaccines, medicines to alleviate symptoms, and now proteins to block entry to cells

This is a new one for me! Usually defenses revolve around antibodies to flag them but disabling their spike proteins to prevent entry into cells is an interesting way to go about it.

I’m absolutely trying my best during these trying times. Balancing work, personal relationships, future plans, all that. It’s rough and there are days where I just wanna give up. But I also continue on, knowing that I can make things better if I have the right people and strength.

If this can be used to help fight against cancers of all kinds, then my hopes is that we see a major decrease of childhood leukemia. And even major ones like lung, pancreatic, ovarian, and even prostate cancer. Perhaps even brain tumors as well if developed well enough! This is absolutely great news

Huh. Didn’t think that a vaccine would be able to help the body target cancer cells. And universal at that one. Certainly a new breakthrough that can help fight cancer. I could see myself taking it but would like to see a large scale trial before using it.
