Inadequate workplace safety laws resulted in the deaths of 5,283 workers, and an estimated 135,304 workers died from occupational diseases.

Every worker has the right to come home safe at the end of the day, but that basic right is under attack.
Deaths at work decreased slightly in 2023: report
The findings come as the administration moves to cut most roles at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
