I think we have an unreasonable confidence in the belief that up-and coming officers, intelligence analysts etc. will know better than to take this kind of unhinged stuff seriously- especially when the environment for promotions and dismissals is so fraught and politicized.

The Republican Party became explicitly anti-business in exchange for culture war shit while ago, huge issue is the C Suite class largely did the same.
