my dads love language is bringing me food while i work, but dropping it off completely silently. todays offerings have been a handful of chocolates, a few wafer cookies and a warmed pretzel bun, all delivered at different times of day, in silence, like hes the food ghost of the house

Very frustrated with the way my POC friends seem to be constantly expected to pacify the emotions of the white people around them. We as white people need to get an extreme amount better at sitting with discomfort, and then channelling it into doing the work. It’s the least we can do
