Oh yeah, I still know how to cook. New tutorial video on autopilot systems coming eventually.
This landing was done entirely by the autopilot. It's also capable of takeoff and navigation, but landing is the most complex mode.
The whole thing is driven by like 10 PID controllers.

I found a textbook that has the source code for a flight simulator included. The only problem: it's written in Fortran. Check out my article on the process of translating it into C# using Unity3D

Tool time! WW2 gauges had very complex faces with multiple arcs, colors, labels and even multiple indicators in a single instrument. ScaleMaker lets me define these parametrically, so I can easily update line widths, colors and fonts across the 70+ gauges in the sim. #indiedev #solodev #flightsim
