This is true. I did not like apples much growing up, and now it's a tragedy that I cannot have Cosmic Crisps in my house every moment of the year (also this a very good article, I learned things about apples)
As someone who grew up before the Honeycrisp changed the game, I think it's hard for younger folks to understand just how much the apple was kind of a garbage-tier fruit back in the day. It's so much better now. Article by @laurahelmuth.bsky.social:
