It’s #bannedbooksweek and I wanted to share a quick #comic about why that matters.

Book bans are at an all time high. Everyone should have the right to read and express themselves on the page. Trans, queer, and BIPOC stories don’t stop existing because you removed them from a shelf.

Don't allow this to go unsaid. SET THE TONE- early, often, and whenever necessary. Make it clear what won't be welcome in spaces you inhabit. Let people know if they feeling unsafe, they can stand next to you. Passive acceptance only helps pave the road to hell.
