EIC @teenvogue.bsky.social, trying to figure out how to be a good person in this chaotic world
I’m still EIC for a few more weeks as I transition out and wrap up some big projects. A small team of Teen Vogue editors remains and deserve support, too.

Much more to come, but thank you all for supporting us on this incredible journey. Teen Vogue forever. ✊🏾❤️

I will always believe that young people are the greatest force we have for changing the world for the better.

Zohran Mamdani’s exciting victory in New York - in an election with the highest turnout in decades - shows that. Young people deserve media for them, by them, and that respects them.

We built a team of young Black, Asian, queer, and trans staffers at Teen Vogue, and they deserve the world. They are passionate, whip smart, and incredibly talented. Many of them are now without jobs — please consider donating to their GoFundMe: www.gofundme.com/f/help-laido...

Reading all of your messages of support and love for the brand and the stories + visuals we produced makes my heart soar, and I know the team feels the same way.
I’m so grateful for every opportunity, every chance to speak with young people, to give them their first byline or first major shoot.

We put diverse faces and bodies on our covers, explored everything from sustainability in fashion to the fight for abortion rights, and sought to empower and elevate people changing the game across industries. We tell stories that no one else does, because we understand the power of being seen.

“These narratives around young people in ‘starter jobs’ or doing sort of superfluous work, or just work to get them through, can often function to lower young people's bargaining power and reduce the power that they have in the workplace. Unions can obviously help with giving them back that power.”
What Are Your Rights at Work As a Young Person?
Exploitation of young people on the job is way too common.
