On today’s Council agenda: I’ll introduce my motion (co-submitted w/ Cllr Fry) to restore school food funding recently cut. No child should go hungry at school. This is about protecting health, supporting learning, and standing up for equity. Let’s fix this. #VanPoli

Thank you @cbcstephenquinn.bsky.social for having me on to discuss the importance of school food programs.
@vsb39.bsky.social feeds almost 4000 students every school day. Kids can't learn when they're hungry. 🍎📚

In a city with aging school infrastructure, this is a welcomed initiative. This innovative step intends to build faster, and more efficiently.

Today I tabled Bill 15, the Infrastructure Projects Act. This legislation will speed up the delivery of schools, hospitals and other important infrastructure projects that people need. 🏗️

Vancouverites have overwhelmingly rejected the direction of ABC. Both successful candidates campaigned against abolishing the elected Park Board. @davidebybc.bsky.social @jervaler.bsky.social, no democratically elected body should be suspended without a clear mandate from voters. #vanpoli #bcpoli 1/

This should not happen.

If we can host the Olympics and FIFA, we can provide the basic needs for our children.

As a teacher that spent the majority of my career working in Inner City classrooms, this decision breaks my heart.

Narcan training saves lives! It’s easy to use, safe, and can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. As the world changes we must be prepared with compassion and the appropriate resources.
A pamphlet on a table explaining the steps to take when using narcan with a kits in the back ground. Victoria and Christopher sitting at a table in front of some narcan kits and information.

Shoutout to ABC for giving my parents a surprise lawn makeover—because who needs consent when you have a sign, right?

Mo Amir @vancolour.bsky.social posted on Ken Sim “opt out” election signs - against rules and bound to upset a lot of people. When I’m out campaigning w/ Green candidate @annettereilly.bsky.social common refrain I hear is regret voting for ABC in ‘22 (still under campaign finance investigation)
