I've found it! It's not an option that shows on the screen, but if you click on the Instagram logo at the top you can get 'Following' as an option to click on. Why have they hidden it?
Instagram showing the only options as adding a photo and seeing your notifications at the top, and then home and reels and messages and search and profile along the bottom. Same screen now I've clicked on the Instagram logo top centre, which has magically revealed the options of Following and Favourites.

So that meant I had to look it up:
The reason is the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act. It required elevators to stay open long enough for someone with a physical disability to make it inside. Since most working elevators were built after that passed, it's safe to say they don't have a functioning 'close' button.

Gmail, the twats, are trying to blackmail me into having AI scrape my emails. It's notifications to my phone for every single email or nothing now, because it won't reinstate sorting them unless I submit to AI. Might be time to change my email address. Annoying, though.
Message in Gmail notifications under settings: Turn on smart features in Gmail, Chat and Meet to use high-priority notifications.

Lily Allen Album Decoded The Eye tries to get to the bottom of the biggest mystery in popular music. Who is Lily Allen making coded references to in her new album 'My Ex-Husband is a Bastard'? Track 1: Beardy Bastard This first track has got the whole world guessing. Could it possibly be a reference to David Harbour? Or is it a more obtuse reference to Jeremy Corbyn or possibly Brian Blessed? Track 2: Harbour is a Bastard Lily often talks about auto-fiction in her own work, which makes it difficult to fathom the exact meaning of her lyrics. This could be a reference to David Harbour, her ex-husband, but it could equally be about an unhappy childhood trip to Portsmouth. Perhaps we will never know. Track 3: The Bastard from 'Stranger Things' is a Bastard 'Strange Things' is a song in 'Toy Story', sung when Woody realises he is no longer Andy's favourite toy and has been replaced by Buzz Lightyear. So this track may well refer to Lily's failed relationship with an absurdly optimistic astronaut, who had promised to love her "to infinity and beyond". Or could it be about 'Stranger Things' actor and Lily's ex, David Harbour? Track 4: My Ex-Husband is a Bastard who had an Affair with a Costume Designer who is a Bitch Don't be fooled by the jaunty reggae backbeat, this is a profoundly negative song, and it's possible that Lily is referring to recent events in her own life. The ex-husband could be a reference to her actual ex-husband David Harbour, but more likely this is an astute political allegory about Boris Johnson or possibly Matt Hancock, with 'costume designer' being code for PPE supplier. Track 5: I'm Going to Get my Revenge on my Beardy Bastard Ex-Husband David Harbour from 'Stranger Things' by Writing an Album Telling the World What a Beardy Bastard He Is This is perhaps the most obtuse and impenetrable of all Lily's complex and nuanced lyrics on this puzzling enigma of an album, but it seems to be a bittersweet reflection on love, monogamy, polyamory...

Happy to report that, after a brief period where it advertised hideous trousers at me, Facebook has reverted to assuming I'm gay and I'm once more enjoying the advertising. (It has never suspected that my liking boys might mean I'm a girl.)

A picture of said Tweenies, like Muppety puppets only they are costumes with people inside them. Their heads are a bit like tennis balls with a slit cut in them so you can squeeze them and make them talk, but pointier at the mouth, and it means they look like they have top lips that are stiff and taut and immobile and also huge.

Lovely books and lovely flowers! Dickon not only signing, but adding a purple seahorse stamp. Dickon reading from the book standing up on a balcony. He was very brave. I'd have had a fit of the vapours just with the height. As before, only a wide shot of all the people at the lovely Kino in St. Leonards.

I should carry this terrible photo of me everywhere and look at it whenever I'm tempted to have another drink:
Me out last night sat at a table with people who are smiling nicely, whereas I look like I have a corrugated neck, because I was apparently looking up at Juliet (who was taking the photo) while trying to pull my head into my own body. I am also grinning like the Joker and I never usually show my teeth when smiling. I can remember Juliet telling us to say 'testicles' instead of 'cheese', so probably everyone else just smiled nicely and I was shouting TESTICLES, like a LADY. Oh God.
