Excerpt from the wip of my insane womb-swap post-canon jayvik fetish fic. It reads: “Viktor dresses up when he goes out on the town. It's not that he needs to. He looks inhuman enough that people don't generally clock him as "nude" even if he's wearing nothing but his cape. He likes to, though. It helps him look a little bulkier, a little more imposing, in a way that makes him feel good. And it gives him pockets. His customary attire for doing everything from house calls and shopping runs to chem baron negotiations and Piltovan lab raids consists of a tunic, gauntlets, spats, and a single shoulder pauldron. The tunic has additional silver plating covering the chest, giving him an additional layer of core protection (since he's had quite enough of having holes blasted through his torso, thank you very much). It also has several angular panels hanging from it forming a skirt in deep blue and silver to match his cape. The silver gauntlets and spats help create a broader, more masculine frame. The huge round silver shoulder gauntlet serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it helps even out Viktor's weight distribution, counterbalancing his heavier right leg with some additional weight on the left shoulder, which helps his gait become less of a limp and more of a prowl. Secondly, it houses a one-of-a-kind power converter. The gauntlet plugs into ports installed in Viktor's shoulder, and draws arcane energy from his core which it turns over into power compatible with most chem tech and undercity machinery. The Herald can then use his own energy to power medical machinery, everyday appliances, and even heavy weaponry if need be, though it does take a toll on his stamina. The pauldron is illuminated from within with the signature orange chem tech glow. It also makes his shoulders look wider, which he likes. And he always wears his blankie cape, of course.”

"It's impossible to take you seriously when you sound like that." "Sound like what?" The Herald replies, caustic. "That stupid robot voice you do. With the reverb and all the hex god bullshit. I'm trying to have a serious conversation with you, can you use your real voice please?" The Herald stiffens, his head turning slowly to fix his pinprick yellow eyes on Jayce. "And what does my real voice sound like?" Jayce throws his shoulders back exasperatedly. "You know what I mean. Your normal voice, the one you spoke with as a normal human being." "Is this the voice you want to hear?" The Herald responds, and it's Viktor's voice this time. His regular one, the one Jayce has heard a million times: in the lab, over lunch, laughing at his stupid jokes, drawing him back from the ledge in his bombed out apartment. It's weird hearing it emanate from the flat metal faceplate. His voice sounds frustrated, tight, but it's his. Jayce's shoulders relax. "Yes," he sighs, "thank you, now—" "Or is this the voice you want?" another voice cuts him off. Jayce draws up short, thrown. He's never heard that voice before. It has Viktor's accent, the same up and down lilt to the flow of the phrase, but it's an octave higher. It's a young woman's voice. Someone Jayce has never met. What game is he playing? "Wha- who is that?" Viktor- the Herald- tilts his head slowly to the side, mechanically. Jayce can't tell if it's meant to be menacing, curious, or patronizing. "It's my voice," the girl's voice responds. "The one I had when I was a, eh, 'normal human being', you said. When I started at the academy, in fact. Is this what you wanted to hear?" Jayce didn't realize his mouth had fallen open. He hadn't wanted- he hadn't thought about it like that. He wasn't supposed to have heard this. He didn't want to hear this. And Viktor, that self-righteous asshole, knew he would never ask for something like that, never even consider it. He was just doing this to insult him. His jaw clicks shut. "That's low. You know that's not what I fucking meant." "Do I?"
