Yeah, im not denying theres potential there, just that more rigorous work needs to be done. My main concern before reading the paper is how can we differentiate between keratin-cover-keratinized skin-skin. My experience from dissecting birds is that quite often its a spectrum.

I need to read the paper to properly form an oppinion on it but I have tendency to be rather skeptical about clear cut osteological correllates, mostly because I think the work to properly make the link hasnt really been done to my knowledge.
