DYK Speed Cameras revenues went to 100’s of road safety improvements in Ottawa?

📸Cameras kept communities safe from speeders and turns their fines in to much needed road improvements.

🚨Ottawa is not stop-gapping funds for road safety projects after 2026

how about instead of focusing our energy on teaching kids road safety we teach adults safe systems.

Loss of Speed Camera (ASE) revenue puts road safety on notice:
🛑Halt on hundreds of sidewalk & traffic calming builds
😔“Staff Transition” will reverse years of progress
🤷‍♂️No plans from the city to back stop this loss and keep our roads safe
