it's cool that we've reached the point where the CEO of bluesky is sharing a public joke with Jesse Singal, a man notorious for harassing, suing, and providing intellectual cover for the legal crackdown on trans people. that joke? that trans people shouldn't expect safety on a platform they built.

If, as we are taught, trans folk represent less than one half of one percent of the total population, do you really think one of us would murder Charlie Kirk, knowing full well that it would likely lead to the extermination of the rest of us? The blood of all 1,710,172 transgender Americans? Nope.

I transitioned 9 years ago. In that time l had the sad duty of watching 25 trans people be murdered without consequences on average yearly. That is 175 in that span of time.
Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday.
Of the dead I've been told to say nothing but good.

I transitioned 9 years ago. In that time l had the sad duty of watching 25 trans people be murdered without consequences on average yearly. That is 175 in that span of time.

It turns out that protecting hate speech did not create the conditions to protect other kinds of speech; instead, it protected hate and allowed hate movements to take over all the institutions of that might have defended the rest of us.

100%. people really need to divorce themselves of the notion that holding one’s party accountable is not automatically going to make everyone else abandon the party. If people leave because the party sucks that should be incentive for the party to change for the better. the onus is not on the voter.

I am now 4.7 pounds above the weight I was at when I graduated from Navy Boot Camp on October the 5th, 1990. If my weight loss continues unabated, I will hit that in about a week to 10 days. This is wild. 2 years ago, I weighed 305 pounds. 8 months ago, I weighed 230 lbs.
