Yes. The officiating was terrible. But they weren’t attempting to bail any specific team out. That’s fan conspiracy theory territory that sounds hyperbolic. The officiating has been consistently awful all around the NFL.

The sports yakers certainly have lots of hot air and some useless analysis. But the ability to communicate with the CFB committee puts them a step ahead of even someone paying attention.

Don’t count on it. Micke Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger both counted their pragmatic centrism as a substantial reason for their success. (Hint: The difference in their margins of victory was the African American vote.)

The background noise of his indiscretions wouldn’t have disappeared. And Tina Snow was a fabulous senator. It was absolutely justified ethically and politically. He was a good senator, with baggage Snow didn’t have.
