The poster is AI slop, not expecting anything better out of the show.

Certainly won't fit in the Star Trek universe philosophically, and that's pretty much the whole point. Lasers and space warfare is done better by Star Wars.

Hoover was very racist and quite open about it. As were Cooledge and Harding, but neither were as extreme as Hoover.

Theres been a long time campaign though to disassociate the 20's GOP from the Nazi ideas they pushed (Hitler was highly influenced by them), so it's less known today.

My school punished the bullied not the bullies in the early 90's. I was told this directly by the principal who was suspending me for getting beat up.

The GOP was exactly like this before WW2. Hoover was quite racist.

It seems like "data centers use a lot of water" is like a chain message that loses its original meaning after a few people. In the context of a watershed, data center water use is trivial. In the context of a sanitary sewer system, data centers are a very big deal, similar to a swimming pool.
December 3, 2025 at 7:08 PM
These ordinances have long existed for commercial swimming pools. Treated (anti corrosion) cooling water is no big deal in small amounts, but in pool sized amounts it messes up treatment plant water chemistry. Data centers bring pool sized amounts of cooling water.
December 3, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Yes this is a thing. Cooolant flushing trashes the treatment plant. Now every business with cooling towers has to retrofit their discharge when they do any work on the system that requires a permit pull. Used to be the small amounts from other businesses weren't a big deal.
December 3, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Nvm all the retrofitting necessary in other businesses because of the new cooling water effluent ordinances and building code changes data centers create when their massive releases of treated coolant water trashes the chemistry at the treatment plant.

Hopefully someone better tries to primary him. Between aipac and the Laken Riley act (plus rumored to be a key part of the cave caucus), Dems can do a lot better. He is Shumer jr.

I mean Modelo is basically the official beer of MAGA and has been since the Bud Light rainbow incident.

Not hard to see why they specifically are struggling.
December 3, 2025 at 1:18 PM
No it's more than that. The water issue is a big deal to local govt; treated cooling water is bad for the treatment plant. Data centers cause new ordinances about releasing effluent to sanitary sewer where they are built.

Right after the midterms. Same as happened with Bush. Bush has not been welcome in or supported by the GOP since the '06 midterms.

Shes clearly running for Ga gov. Being R but no friend of Trump is Kemps successful formula for the state that she's obviously copying.
