Brilliant piece by @birmo.bsky.social on corporations not paying tax and how the people in charge want you to blame baristas, foreigners and single mums for the fact your hospitals are busted.

He's talking about Australia, but it's true for everyone, everywhere.

I am shocked—shocked, I tell you—to discover in this year’s corporate tax report that Optus paid no tax on $8.2 billion of income.

Totally unhinged, and brilliant. It's like a message on the family WhatsApp from your uncle, complaining about seating arrangements at your cousin's wedding.

That's good timing - I just finished S1 of PM last night - it's one of the few opening sequences I never skipped! Looking forward to S2! Thanks for posting!

One of my Irish mates texted me to say O'Connor would be kicking himself...but probably miss.

HBD to Tom Wills (1835) - a great cricketer who took an indigineous team to the UK in the 1860's. He was one of Australia's first sporting heroes and a founder of AFL. A true character.

Here's Mick Thomas and Wally singing a tribute to his life.

I saw them twice. Second time was a Dylan tribute night in Sydney. They played a cracking version of one of my favourite Dylan songs - New Pony.

Starting with The Titanics! Project of former Custard singer Dave McCormack (these days he’s involved with a blue dog).

Exciting news. For the first time in 5 years I now own a CD player again. Which means I can listen to my music which is not to be found on spoty place!

Some top quality journalisting right there.

Geez that’s crook. Well done you for outing him. I get sad about your brother every time I hear a Messengers/Coloured Girls song - which is most days.

Wallabies did not deserve to lose that.

Great to see the Wallabies competing strong here.

A great episode and great to see a few 70's faces making their podcast debut. I think I like that second album more than the first one!

Marvellous - I used to catch one of those Red Rattlers to and from school every day

Loved the stories in BP.

From Alexi Sayle's novel "Weeping Women Hotel" - a character cannot mention soup without saying "Soup swoop, loop de loop". I read that 20 yrs ago, and have been saying it ever since.

Which leads us to Aussie legends Pist Idiots - certainly a cut above WL

That's unfortunate. Really loved that show.

The gulf between 70’s and 80’s Billy Joel yawns, threatening.
