Back in May my dog tore her CCL (joint in her knee) and had to have surgery to repair it. After two months of near total rest, we started the rehab phase and have slowly been working toward her being able to take long walks again. On Monday she hiked for two whole miles 🥹 I’m so proud of my baby ❤️

Tonight I was thinking about Eldest Daughter in conversation with Sweet Nothing. Both songs about “traitors, smooth operators” and “smooth-talking hucksters” and finding (relative) peace with her partner. But she was willing to accept just sweet nothings because she thought she wouldn’t find more.

Is Fate of Ophelia the first huge pop hit from Taylor that is totally positive lyrically? The closest I can think of are ME!, in which she talks about how annoying she is and actually pretty negative for a song about self love, and Style, which is about a relationship she knows is temporary
