Pretty much answers why the name text at the bottom is printed so unusually close to the photo rather than centered within the margin (which is more aesthetically pleasing IMHO). Inane nerdy nitpick but always found that kind of particularly sloppy with '86.

Thank you, glad to see you're still spreading the physical media gospel!

Her '81 Covers Girl EP has been on my out-in-the-wild bin dig list for years. Totally adore how she turned Love's "My Little Red Book" into such an infectious new wave earworm.

WPG hasn't been abandoned. As long as the prigs in power haven't heralded the complete death of fun, should be back at it with some regularity in a few weeks or so. Big heartfelt kudos to everyone still hanging in trying to spread some joy and weirdness.

Just saw your intro post! I've been there 2 years and it can feel frustratingly empty and incompatible depending on your interests. I've stuck around because PF has a good vision and is modestly well-run. I'd like to think more will be jumping onboard with everything going on. Glad you're there!

Really interesting. The use of recycled footage was pretty seamless in TWOK and this shows careful consideration behind it. Being completely handwritten somehow feels more thoughtful too. Compare this to the Bird of Prey explosion in TUC lazily xeroxed in Generations.

I'd be the first to admit WPG is the furthest thing from actual art and just old school Tumblr antics, but the nod is warmly appreciated. You, on the other hand, are delightfully talented.

Likely a fluke, then. Just went through my other Mill Creek BDs now (quite a few with the retro VHS slipcovers) and they're all ok. The company I mistook them for, Echo Bridge, on the other hand: 5 dead discs (Automata, Fortress, Dirty Pretty Things, From Dusk 'til Dawn and The Prophecy I-II). Ouch.

Looks like it could've just been a bad early batch. The HD transfers are pretty decent and who knows if they'll get licensed out again (Vinegar Syndrome seems to be moving away from these kind of films).
