Kind of reveals that the consensus that's developed that remote schooling during the pandemic was a horrible mistake because it caused learning loss is total BS. If learning loss due to AI is acceptable, objection to school closures are clearly about something else.

A striking thing about articles I’ve read claiming to “study the effects” of generative AI on student writing skills and consumption of information is that (1) they nearly always find the effects are negative and (2) most “conclusions” are still written assuming that we must use AI, for some reason.

Today I watched Alfred Hitchcock Presents season 7 episodes 25-28. But I couldn't say anything about them because my brain is pudding today. Except Dick York was in one of the episodes. He's got to be the most frequent actor on this show. That Darren Stevens. He gets around!

Resuming my full franchise watch of the Friday the 13th series. I watched the original through Jason Takes Manhattan in order but today I'm going with the remake/requel from 2009 because I felt like it.
It's not a good movie but it's not irredeemably terrible. Not the worst of the franchise.

I strongly suspect a lot of people who have taken this position were mad at Elizabeth Warren for running as a left flank candidate when that was supposed to be the sole rightful place of Sanders. She was the only campaigning against corruption and for accountability and no one wanted to hear it.

I swear, 90% of people who post about politics don't actually care about any of the issues. They just want to be outraged.
