Grateful he’s still with us and arguably in better shape than any of us kids. We keep telling the grandkids and great-grandkids “You’re gonna have to take care of Papaw someday.” The man is a Galápagos tortoise.

This is a true story: Dad grew a Covid beard. At age 85, it was the first beard he’d ever grown. (Mom *hated* facial hair. She was always razzing me about mine.)

As God is my witness, his was darker than mine, and he is 38 years older than I am.

My grandfather was a sharp cat in his youth. If I could afford custom-tailored clothing (my size does not lend itself well to reasonably-priced) I would be a total dandy. Like, arm garters and crap.
