I'm old enough have grown up surrounded by WWII veterans. My childhood dentist was at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. The story goes he went to bed Dec 6th a brunette with a full head of hair. 24 hours later, he lost much of his hair and that which remained had turned white
