Fascism doesn’t just come out and announce itself by killing people…

It starts with subtle dehumanising, subtle rhetoric, bits of propaganda…

Then it latches on to a crisis moment to double down on the rhetoric to get people on-side.

The killing is the last part.

Here is my main opinion on AI, in every capacity: What is the point of technology? Is it to make our lives better and easier, or is it to make a very small percentage of people richer? The latter is what AI is doing. The people actually doing the coding are making themselves redundant.

The scale of Trump's pay-for-access scheme outlined by the @nytimes.com is mindblowing. Crypto contributions resulting in business deals with the Trump family crypto businesses, oil companies buying influence and later reaping benefits from friendly policies, and a $1 million pardon.

Engineering is the intersection of Curiosity and Capability

When your curiosity outstrips your capability, you expand your capability and grow

When your capability expands, it allows you to see farther and grows your curiosity

Don't allow your tools take away both your Curiosity and Capability

i actually think a major problem across much of society is lack of understanding that deserving something is not the same thing as being owed something.

everyone is deserving of love, but (aside from one’s parents) no one *owes* us love.

everyone is deserving of intimacy, but no one owes it to us.

Today, the most valuable company in the world is Nvidia.

The obliteration of natural, species-rich grasslands via agri-intensification is the main cause in a crash of insects like butterflies, some species >80% in just 15 years.

The maddening thing is we KNOW the solutions.

If Trump can disappear green card holders for protesting war, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear visa holders for criticizing him, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear asylum seekers for tattoos, he can disappear you.

We must speak out now — before there is no one left to speak out.

Shut up the loud opposition, shut up the people who know history best, shut up the tools of legal opposition, and shut up those trying to provide transparency.
