Indicating that this is something you have ‘learned’ - likes it’s based in scholarship and wisdom, is wild.
Publishing this as a statement in national press is also - wild.

Reminded me a touch of this paper

How we respect the possibility of recovery in high risk groups, while also holding space for the trauma of those that have died…

Oof - and yet who among us is surprised!!
When will it be time to actually fund rehabilitation properly?

Only 13.5% of cases reviewed in the @ncepod.bsky.social rehabilitation report were rated as good care.

@iculone.bsky.social discussing multi morbidity in critical care

And scarily there is little data on this

And these multimorbid patients are not being enrolled in trials

Despite making up a significant amount of our workload

Really like the concept of making space for ‘dignity of risk’ in older adult populations - a concept which I think we may fear particularly in critical care - because of what we witness as harm associated with treatments in critical care for some patients …@drfreeze.bsky.social #soa25

Honestly could have fed Prof Rockwood Questions for an hour!what a fantastic and relevant session on Frailty #SOA25

Really looking forward to this opening plenary - Prof Rockwood himself!

Some great questions raised by @whistlingdixie.bsky.social

If you don’t have a history, how can you assess frailty? Is there a physical exam you can do?

Prof Rockwood recommends collateral history more than anything

Nothing gives me rage as much as - just banged my head on a cupboard door and some immediately asks if I am ok!

Stayed in the beautiful Irish Landmark trust managed Wicklow Head Lighthouse this long weekend and directly before that spent two weeks in Orlando - which was quite the contrast!

But now I need knuckle down and write a presentation. Send help.

Still struggling to curate a feed that in any way resembles the sort of useful community feed I had on X (and X that doesn’t exist anymore - this isn’t a lament for that)

I already use targeted feeds
