A huge thanks to the families who came along to our Baby/Toddler Bookbug session this morning. We enjoyed a Halloween lift the flap book & lots of familiar songs. A friendly reminder our sessions will not take place for the next three weeks. Join us again on Wednesday 5th November at 10.30am. 🎶😀

One of our wee ones exclaimed ‘I think it’s from @kinnairdwaters.bsky.social’ Thank you so much for the special gift, we can’t wait to display your homemade paper in our playroom. 😀🌳 #partnerships

*NURSERY* Inspired by our Tiny Crab is a Tidy Crab story some of us have been extending our knowledge of recycling by participating in a game to find the correct bin for the rubbish items! Lots of excitement and engagement from our wee ones. Well done. 🦀 🗑️

If anyone has any unwanted kitchen utensils they would be willing to donate to nursery for our wee ones to be creative with outdoors we would be extremely grateful. These can be handed directly into nursery or the main school office. Many thanks! 🤩

We had a visit from some of the Fire Fighters from Linlithgow station. They gave us great tips for being safe and taught us the Stop, Drop and Roll! Mrs Leckie was our champion at getting all kitted up quickly! Thank you to the team for coming to see us! ⭐️

*NURSERY* On Forest Friday last week our wee ones were on the hunt for a chestnut tree to see if we could find more conkers. We also put up our fantastic posters encouraging people to put their litter in the bin just like ‘Tiny Crab’ from our Stupendous Story. #MyWorldOutdoors #KEEPWHITECROSSTIDY

*NURSERY* Our interest in cooking continues so after harvesting our homegrown carrots we decided to use them to have alongside our lunch. We peeled & chopped carrots & potatoes then flavoured them with garlic before cooking. They were the perfect accompaniment for our soup. 😋 #MarvellousMeals

Primary 2/1 did a fantastic job of applying their knowledge of materials to make a boat! Special mention to one of our learners who made a boat at home and shared with the class. It gave us lots of good ideas!

*NURSERY* Yesterday we had a visit from Crew Commander Matthew, Firefighter Kat & Firefighter Iain. We explored the fire engine, had a turn of the hose & learned that we call 999 in an emergency. Thank you so much for coming to visit. More photos to follow on the Online Learning Journals. 🚒 💦 🔥

We had a visit from MP Euan Stainbank. We know our children love our learning experiences in our outdoor environment. Our plan is to develop the space at the burn and our woods to make it safe for our children to learn and play. Thank you for taking the time to come to visit us!

At our Discover and Do Time P7/6 played a game about the water cycle! They also were set a challenge of making a foil boat that could hold the most number of glass pebbles! Lots of excellent problem solving and collaboration! They also explored different sea creatures using an interactive game! 💛

In P7/6 this week our children have shown an interest in creativity and art tasks. I set up different ideas for them to explore and was so impressed by the high levels of engagement! ⭐️
