36 years ago today, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was released! What's everyone's thoughts on this one?
Not as popular in the UK as I believe it is in the US but still generally well liked. I manage to watch it every year, gets plenty of laughs from me

Starting December with The Family Man. I used to start my Christmas movie viewing with this seems good for December 1st. I actually think it's one of Nicolas Cage's very best.

My Christmas-themed November wasn't quite as packed as I'd like but I did:
12 films
3 short films
Half a book (Bitter Chills)
And 30 minutes of Home Alone on the Game Boy

Random blu-ray from my #Christmas collection - The Lodge. Thoughts on this one? I really like it, but it's definitely one of the bleakest festive films

Obviously, I had to get the sticker album #StrangerThings

Great performances by Wes Bentley and Rachel Nichols and part written by Alexandre Aja.

"A businesswoman is pursued by a psychopath after being locked in a parking garage on Christmas Eve."

A couple of Christmas-themed charity shop finds from the weekend. Really happy with both. Can't wait to read the Christmas Carol graphic novel!

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) - I wanted a cheesy, cosy Christmas movie that wasn't a rom com and this worked out perfectly. The cast are good, lovely feel good story and full of Christmas
3/5

Nativity (2009) - Deserves to be more well known than it is. One of the very best Christmas movies. All the cast are fantastic, especially Martin Freeman & Marc Wootton. It's both very funny and emotional 5/5

Very tempted by some of the fish tank ornaments in the pet shop

Latest Christmas movie is Mercy Christmas. This is a bit of hidden Christmas horror gem. Cannibal family Christmas which is fun, action-packed and gory. It's silly and the cast go all out! Ignore the iffy title and various artwork.

Started the Game Boy Home Alone game yesterday. I'll have to look it up because I was struggling to get very far in it.

I went for Lost Boys as my Halloween movie. First time watching in 4k. It's obviously still great.
