Can someone please pass a law that's makes it illegal for airlines to pitch credit cards over their airplane PA system. They should only be allowed to give safety announcements and tell us which carousel our luggage is at.

Not a surprise that the longer we delay solving climate change the higher the social cost of carbon gets. Higher costs every year for property damage, human health, food production...
An important new study, out today, uses the latest physical & social science -- also meta-review machine-learning something something -- to reassess the social cost of carbon.
TL;DR: it's $280/ton, way higher than EPA's $190.

I gotta say that being able to play YouTube links in-app is amazing and it doesn't make me want to leave Bluesky, it makes me want to use it more. I cannot believe what we've been forced to tolerate by tech behemoths for so long in their desperation to prevent access to the rest of the internet.
