I haven't seen a starter pack for indigenous folks in the tabletop industry, so I made one. I know I don't have everyone in here. Who do I need to add?

I've watched the first season of Tulsa King and the first two episodes of The Lowdown. I have to say, it is VERY apparent when a writer or director actually knows the people and places they are making shows about and when they don't.
The Lowdown feels like Tulsa.

Saw Jurassic World Rebirth this weekend and really enjoyed it. But I will always go see a Jurassic movie. I thought it was a fun, well-paced action movie. It won't blow your mind or anything, but it was very entertaining.

I try to repost any videos that shout out my games, and I missed this one from back in February. I've tried a few of the other RPGs he mentions, but some are new to me and look very interesting.

Jonathan Joss was MURDERED.

Words matter here.

He was MURDERED.

it was a HATE CRIME because he is a gay Indigenous man.

Say those words. Do not dance around it. He wasn't "killed in a shooting." He was murdered in a hate crime.

Finished Andor a couple days ago. I've seen some great commentary, but I haven't seen anyone mention Ghorman and the imperial boomerang.

Just saw sinners, absolutely one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time. It uses the horror genre to say so much.

And now, I just really want to learn more about the lore of this world.

I came across a BGG thread where people were debating the semi-cooperative aspect of my game, Winter Rabbit. It's fun to read. Throughout the development process, I had a few people ask why anyone would cooperate on a shared goal if they knew they'd lose the competitive game. Well...

In January, I visited Argentina. While there, I talked with a board game publisher in Buenos Aires. He recounted the issues he has producing games in a country with heavy tariffs.

You don't need them all, but be glad they exist.
"there are too many new board games coming out" is such a bizarre concept and reflects the essentially consumerist way they're framed & approached

I don't hear "there are too many books this year", "there are too many new songs", "too many movies"

That is my garage. I can kinda squeeze by sideways.

It's an old house and an old tiny garage. My Prius doesn't even fit in there when it is empty. I mean, I could get the car in but there would be no getting myself out.

It's better full of games.
That feeling when a pallet of games arrives in your garage is pretty amazing. Folks in the US are receiving their shipping notifications, and most of the cases are being sent to a warehouse for distribution. This pallet just arrived at our place, so we'll have some for Conventions this year.

Spend the last weekend at TokenCon, the local board game convention here in OKC. It's one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to hang out with @robertataylor.bsky.social, @drayerink.bsky.social, @tentagil.bsky.social, Baron's Game Room, and a lot of other great people.

So here is my fan theory. I'll explain with a few spoilers below. Maybe others have had similar ideas. I'd love to hear.

Finished "I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom" by @jasonkpargin.bsky.social. It was fun and funny with great banter and a lot of timely references.

I love a good post-apocalyptic road trip story, even if it happens pre-apocalypse.

Wanted to give a better look at that cover, because it really is gorgeous in all the details. We are going for an Art Deco/Noir vibe for the whole thing. I love what our artists have brought to the table so far.

This is a very cool thing.
I love that they used all ingredients that are indigenous to Turtle Island. Yaupon is a great tea alternative.
Holy heck!! My fav tea company and my fav game company, AND they collaborated to make an INDIGENOUS TEA??????

This literally could not get any better! Can't wait to try this blend!

This is a very well written review. I played an early version of Molly House not long after the Zenobia contest ended. It was a brilliant game, even then. I can't wait to get my copy to see what @miasmacorp.bsky.social and @colewehrle.bsky.social have done with it since that early version.
Molly House is a strange and meaningful beast, at once a celebration of queer love, a critique of imperial power, and a call to solidarity. More than that, it is a game that can't help but be personally meaningful to the lonesome and tired. My review: spacebiff.com/2025/02/12/m...
