More important now than ever to scrutinize those plans. A lot of people just automatically click on the cheapest plan. Silver plan with Cost share reduction in so many cases can save a ton of money in deductibles and co-pays. So important to take into account chronic conditions etc.

Karma? I don't know. He'd be in jail right now if it were Karma. I'd say cause and effect. Living on a fast food diet = high cholesterol and poor cardio vascular health.

no some of these kids did do outside work like raking, picking up trash etc. but, 8 hr shift max with breaks, lunch and extra water/shade breaks if it got hot. No outside work if too hot Never using machinery. My daughter worked in our school district building doing clerical work.

I don't think there's anything wrong with 15-16 yr olds working summer jobs. My daughter did going through a city run program. Not during the school year though and not under 15 and pay must be at least minimum wage.

They also need to look at their family trees. The vast majority of us are decendants of immigrants.

same here. I grew up in Catholic school. At the time they would beat the hell out us for just about anything. I would never had let any teacher or staff lay a hand on my child.

War on the low income. WIC, SNAP, Medicaid, HEAP. All of these programs are crucial. These programs make all the difference for low income families. Food on the table, medical care, keeping the heat/AC running. Taking them away is just plain cruelty.

It's a mess here in the U.S.. It doesn't have to be in Canada. Please learn from our last election and don't stay on the sidelines. Get out there and vote. The future of your country depends on it.

I am sure the cases are much higher than being reported. Many of these parents do not consider Measles to be a serious enough disease to seek medical advise and just manage the illness at home.
