…and yes, I have no idea who could do a better job (and is free). Sigh.
Can’t help but listen to this, nodding along (midfield woes, Sunderland stepping up, future fixtures) and nod along, feeling overall very glum about the upcoming month:

Why does a seventh-tier club in a Leicestershire market town get thousands of Spanish football fans watching their games online and groups coming over to watch matches?

A very cool story, like a real-life watch along Football Manager save.

A really fun romp around the clubs of Andalusia, (including my own personal pick, Malaga CF) from Jordan Thomas over on Substack:
Regions of Spain, Andalucia
Spain is made up of 17 unique and autonomous regions and regional pride is often as big as national pride in what can often feel a fragmented and divided country. This time it's Andalucia

I need a mental break from the whole thing, to be honest, Daniel. Especially Underwood & Co.
DF: "I don't think they're mentally struggling. If the outside world is panicking and mentally struggling after everything is a bit closer, we can't influence it. We are quite calm within the group. We don't need a mental break right now." #lufc

So underwhelming for the WC from an England point of view. Underwhelming performances will be dominated by either Tuchel discourse….or Bellingham discourse. Sigh.
Thomas Tuchel is planning to bring Jude Bellingham back into the England squad that will be announced on Friday.

Bellingham has not played for England since June, and underwent shoulder surgery in July following the Club World Cup.
