Law graduate (New Zealand), debt collector, former fraud investigator, huge nerd for all things story related (but also super cool), a man of semi-reasonable means and taste.
The sourch for this is the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum page, which explains this was a thing that happened in 1919, but among many, many other events - such as the birth of Anne Frank.

It also does this really vile thing where it will use footnotes as evidence, but review of the footnote shows they've taken massive liberties with the context and significance.

For example, they claim that the "Stab-In-The-Back" theory was a major driver for perceiving jews as military threat.

Aside from the fact its weird there's a section for "Scientific and intellectual contributions" it's even weirder to have a paragraph about IQ tests under "contributions".

But "Grok" really wants it to stay in there.

You just died, the sixth picture in your camera roll is what killed you.

What is Kraliçe planning?

So I went to Grokipedia to see if it had been contaminated by the "Elon Musk is better than ..." bug.

It's widely known it doesn't have the full contents of Wikipedia and is adding pages... but uh... not super comfortable with these being promoted as "new pages"

It's pretty wild how Microsoft is funding OpenAI, and between them they want to make like 2 dozen new nuclear power plants just to run their AI slop... but Windows wants me to use my monitor as little as possible to save the planet.

Inside you is one Homer. What's your Homer?

Starting to think maybe this guy wasn't the sort of person who should have been given a gun and authority, and that if this is the best you can get maybe you should disestablish your whole department.

Truly the current administration in the US has maximized the grift economy.

Firstly, good - fuck that guy, he was a prick of a DM.

Secondly, D&D at home isn't a competitive sport, there's no money riding on rankings - if your players are not having fun and are getting frustrated you should absolutely help them out and/let them skip the puzzle etc.

The Discord for Paizo's ORC License is pretty much officially dead at this point, with occasional appearances by spam bots that get cleaned up intermitanently.

I feel very confident in my early assessment it was never about helping the TTRPG community, just riding the OGL nonsense for clout.

Hence why you end up with nonsense where kids who haven't even finished school are being pitched as 10x engineers by other kids who talk amost entirely in slogans and only finished their bachelor degree last year (and can't hold down a job).

I haven't even finished by Professional Studies yet... but it's nice to know Seek has a lot of confidence in me.

Grokipedia is pretty wild, if you look up an article that Elon has considered too sacred to tamper with... say "Path of Exile" it cites Wikipedia and offers to show you the edits.

Like... literaly no information.

Is this games Amazon is buying me?
Is this like Opera GX and just telliing me about opportunities to get free games? Is there a rate at which I should expect the games?

Amazon Luna is a spectacularly bizarre product in that all it wants to tell you about itself is "claim games, free with Prime". Clicking on About Luna brought this up instead.

For more information on this topic, consider looking into some of the mega-projects that Saudi Arabia has been investing in (explicitly to prepare to pivot away from being dependent on oil exports), along with some of the explanations for features.

I don't know what's funnier the product placement or that he looks like he's trying to work out what "What's your favourite Pokémon and why?" means.

When the timeline on your investigations means the current administration can't sell a pardon, and the only politician who returns you calls is a guy who won't admit he got kicked out of the race for mayor.

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

Honestly baffling to me that sites claiming to be and presented as having serious educational value are putting this nonsense as a feature on their site.

If you can get away with reading the summary, you do not need to bother doing so because you already know the material, it should be that simple.
