I have such a soft spot for the early 2000 post-matrix campness of the art in 3e, especially remembering back to how homophobic that time was. Yes I'm sorcer who's clothes consist of nothing but belts and pouches and my nipples are showing but it's not gay or anything.

Personaly as a player I would not be able to roleplay someone incentived to be truly evil for 2 hours but 20-30 minutes is fine. Especially if I can then roleplaying the oppressed hero. This creates a really interesting karma-like experience during gameplay. I was oppressor and now I'm oppressed.

All at the same time being the poor souls experience these decisions. Troupe play is such an interesting roleplaying concept. As it allows players roleplay multiple characters allowing for wider range of roleplaying experience.

Getting the players to do the work of the gm for them is the secret sauce of many a great game session.
